Fucked up!!
The original tank that came with the bike ,was a good basis for a chopped fuel tank. There was still some fuel in it, but I let it out and put water in it. Then I emptied it and it was clean, I thought..
After that I started welding on the outside, this went a little bit wrong.. The fuel fumes gave an explosion and the tank became substantially bigger! I was lucky that the tank popped away from me..Shit!!!Now I'm gonna build one by myself from aluminium!

Mexican influence.. Great bike!
That tank is just a piece of art.. So is the whole bike! It belongs to a guy from The Lowkals. http://lowkals.blogspot.com/
That's how a CB750 should look!
One nice hard-tailed CB750. Picture is from the Moon Eyes 2010 Hotrod show Yokohama. Nothing really spectacular but very smooth..

I thought I found it..
After searching the web, I found a nice little round fuel tank from the Flakekings guys .http://flakekings.blogspot.com It looks great, but after putting it on the frame, it was too small...Shit! The search continues.... But the good news is that I ordered a 19 inch and 16 inch rim.Cant wait to paint them black and fit them in the bike!! Also bought an old yellow headlight that fits great with my expectations.

Front hub
Last night I fixed the front hub of Ruben's project. He had a double brake disc set-up at the front, but one is enough he said. So I closed the thread holes with welds on one side and made it flat. Looks pretty nice..hope he likes it too.

Another world of chopper.
A couple of months ago I saw this great magazine from Japan, Another world of chopper! Damn, what a nice bung of bikes. I immediately ordered them out of Moon Eyes,Yokohama. No Harley's inside, butt still very nice.
Progress..
During the weekend, I drove to some guy to pick up a CB360 frame with license. My SL 360 didn't have that,so now I can build it on the new frame. Also took some other spare parts with me, just in case. After the drive I went to the garage to tear the old bike down! We where discussing about a smaller rear rim, bigger front wheel and allot more. Here you see it totaly drop down!Nice and low...to low I think!

Cool bikes..
I saw a lot of bikes on the web and in real life this year. But the Japanese chopper scene is the one I really dig! Didn't know that there was such a nice movement over there. Old bikes that have been chopped and rate paint jobs! It's a big inspiration.
First project
After a couple of months of looking on the web, I found a little neat Honda. It's a pretty old one and the basic was good. It's a CL 360 '73 that originally comes from Deland, Florida. But it's been in Holland for about 15 years. After some mailing with the seller, I took a bus and went to Utrecht (Holland) to pick it up.The guy came from the North so we decided to meet in the middle. The total trip from home and back took me about 10 hours because of a snowstorm! Damn I hate snow..LOL! But I was pretty happy with the new purchase..So now I finally can start building some rat street tracker/bobber for myself. The specifications are: 356cc twin,6 speed,36 HP (what's left of it..) Here are some pictures..
